There is limited research available on the effects of taking probiotics and herbal remedies together for a hangover. However, one small study published in the journal BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine in 2018 found that taking a combination of probiotics and herbal remedies was more effective than either treatment alone for reducing hangover symptoms. The study included 30 participants who were given either a combination of probiotics and herbal remedies, probiotics alone, or herbal remedies alone.
